REVIEW - NEO SPIRIT PRO WRESTLING'S WYLDECARD

THURSDAY AUGUST 18, 2011
FIGHT CLUB CANADA, NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO
ATTENDANCE: ~200

It was a night of high-flying and explosive wrestling action as Neo Spirit Pro returned to Fight Club Canada in Niagara Falls.
The show had tournament action, new tag-team champions, and a hard fought battle for the independent championship which was barely retained by its holder.

Match 1 - "The Bearded Dragon" Scotty Turner vs. "Surf's up" Johnny Wave - NSP Light Heavyweight tournament
A hard hitting match between the bearded one and the surfer dude saw Turner tried to ground the high-flying Wave, choking him on the ropes and trying to chop the skin off his chest (Cino Wrestling gives the award for loudest chops of the night to Turner).
Turner controlled the pace for most of the bout, but Wave had some tricks up his sleeve as he used multiple cross bodies and splashes to knock Turner down.
Later in the match Wave went to the well too many times and crashed and burned outside the ring, only making it back inside the ring at the referees count of nine.
Turner attempted to hit his flying head butt, but Wave rolled out of the way as Turner splatted on the canvas. Wave then ascended the turnbuckle and hit his phoenix splash for the win.

Infamous Jay Moore entered the NSP Arena, taking the microphone from ring announcer Topher Whiteman and kicking him out of the ring.
Moore went on to explain that "your precious Ring of Honor star" Michael Elgin once again did not show up to fight Andrew Davis in their announced chairs match, and that Davis should be the winner by forfeit.
Davis entered the ring, complete with the battered steel chair that he has destroyed opponents with over the past few months. Moore went on to say how Davis was the best and that Elgin could never beat him, and had the referee (reluctantly) raise Davis' hand in 'victory'.
Davis and Moore didn't see Elgin standing behind them, having sneaked into the ring from the crowd.

Match 2 - Chair match - Andrew Davis (with Jay Moore) vs. "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin.
Davis turned around and immediately bolted out of the ring, leaving Moore alone. Moore only had time to ask "What are you doing?" until he turned around and promptly turned a shade of ghostly white after seeing the massive Elgin. Moore swung the chair at Elgin, who easily grabbed it away.
Davis re-entered the ring trying to get the jump on Elgin, but he was thrown into the corner and was fed many stiff chops to the chest (but not quite as loud as Turner's).
Both men ended up outside the ring, where Jay Moore tried to assist Davis, but only got a giant kick to the chest from Elgin. Davis battled back and brought the fight back inside the squared circle, slamming Elgin on the chair on a few occasions. Elgin was able to turn the tables and slam Davis on the chair many times as well. One move the fans enjoyed was Elgin sat Davis in the chair, and delivered a massive running clothesline, tumbling Davis and the chair over.
Nearing the end of the match, Jay Moore tried once more to help out, but Elgin grabbed him and was about to exact some sweet revenge via powerbomb.....until Ashley Sixx sauntered down to ringside.
"Heyyyy refereeeeeeeeee izzz it my match yet?" slurred out Sixx, clearly drunk. "I’m on now right?"
As the referee dealt with the inebriated Sixx, Moore slid the chair to Davis, who bashed Elgin right in the skull, bringing him to his knees. With a battle cry of "DIE!!!!!!!!!" Davis smashed in Elgin's head again and pinned him for the victory.

Sixx entered the ring, still drunk, and ordered his match take place now. Josh Alexander obliged.

Match 3 - "The Hit" Ashley Sixx vs. "The Ronin" Josh Alexander
Alexander began his offense quickly, grabbing Sixx and tossing him overhead across the ring. Sixx recovered (maybe not feeling any pain?) and delivered attacks of his own. Sixx likes his high-flying moves, but missed many of them as he could not balance on the ropes, or would fall through the ropes onto the ring apron or the floor. As the match went on, it began to look like Alexander was getting frustrated, being unable to defeat a drunk person. Sixx ended up outside the ring once again and it didn't look like he would make it back before the count of 10...until he grabbed a beer from underneath the ring and began to drink. The referee then stopped the match, much to Alexander's protest, saying how Sixx was unfit to compete and that he consumed a banned substance during competition. Sixx, still adamant that he could compete, began to rant about Neo Spirit and how much he hated it here. He then asked the crowd "........Hey you, dada all come ta see Dubya See Dubya (WCW) or the NWO? NWO 4 LIFE!!"
Sixx's friend Johnny Wave came to the ring and tried to take the microphone away from his drunken friend. Sixx stopped him and said "I know we're friends and all but you're a good guy and I'm a bad guy and this won’t work." Sixx ranted some more until referees and Wave physically escorted him to the locker room. Sixx flipped off the crowd before getting shoved through the curtain.

"Dangerboy" Derek Wylde and the "Queen of Neo" Cherry Bomb entered the NSP Arena to loud boos and cat calls. Wylde shot one glance at announcer Topher Whiteman, which was enough to send him diving out of the ring back to the announcer's table (Whiteman had been the victim of many beatings at the hands of Wylde and his "friends" at past events.) Wylde rhetorically asked the crowd "who the dumbest member of the NSP roster was" the answer - "Tiberious King".
Cody Deaner entered the arena, ignoring a handshake from his 'friend' Wylde and flatly stated "You didn't stick to the plan. I am supposed to get my title shot, not this four way fight we have in the main event tonight. If you do not stick to the plan again, I will personally make sure you do not leave with that belt tonight."
NSP Owner and "Lord of the Bling" Tiberious King, along with Pepper Parks, came down to the ring to get their opinions in on the main event as well. King explained to Neo's two biggest villains that he and Parks could not wait to get their hands on them for their sweet revenge, and after they were eliminated from the match, King and Parks would then be one-on-one and find out who the better man was to become champion.

Match 4 - Ladies Action - Cherry Bomb vs. Courtney Rush
Hell hath no wrath...
Both ladies decided to use the submission playbook during their match, exchanging armbars, arm wringers, and Indian Deathlocks alike. Cherry Bomb locked on a sweet Bryan Danielson-like "cattle mutilation" submission, putting Rush in extreme agony, but Rush refused to quit. Both fighters stretched each other every which way, but neither gave up. It all ended when Cherry got her feet up on the second rope to keep Rush down.

Match 5 – Crazzy Steve vs. Sebastian Suave
Before the match, Steve had some fun at referee DC Morningstar’s expense. When Morningstar checked over Steve for foreign objects, he found a foot long nail, a dumbbell, and a pair of stinky underwear all hidden in Steve’s tights. Steve didn’t think there was a problem with these, but I digress.
The match quickly was brought to the outside, where Steve smashed Suave into the ring apron and suplexed him on the floor. When asked if he was OK by the referee, Suave answered with “No you idiot I just got slammed on the floor!” Steve perched on the apron ready to leap onto Suave, but Suave recovered and sweeped Steve’s leg sending him crashing into the floor below. Suave brought the action back into the ring, bodyslamming Steve and following up with repeated elbows to the back. Suave whipped Steve into the ropes and attempted a slam, but Steve reversed into a submission. Suave escaped and attempted to climb to the top rope, but Steve cut him off and Suave fell groin-first into the top turnbuckle. Jake O’Reilly of the Pissbeaters entered the arena and distracted Steve, allowing Suave to punch Steve’s lights out with brass knuckles while the referee’s back was turned.

Match 6 – Brent B vs. Nick Vickers – NSP Light Heavyweight tournament.
This match began with both fan-favorites exchanging a multitude of holds for a few minutes, with both men coming out as a draw. A handshake was extended, but Brent B put Vickers in a headlock before it was completed. Vickers fired up and escaped…right into a giant dropkick (see photo – AWESOME!). Even though Brent nearly kicked off Vickers’ head, Vickers came out with the victory and shook Brent’s hand after the match. Brent looked very frustrated now being 0-2 in NSP.

Match 7 – The Italianos defend the tag-team championship against the Pissbeaters
Jake O’Reilly and Anthony Darko wanted the NSP tag belts more than any other belt in Ontario, and they vowed they would have them by the end of the night.
O’Reilly distracted the referee while Darko hid at the side of the entrance curtain and waited for The Italianos to make their entrance into the NSP Arena. “Stickball” Tony Carbonie entered, followed by Primo Scordino. Darko spun Primo around and cold-cocked him with one of the NSP tag belts (they stolen them after the last show).
Stickball whirled around and began the beatdown on Darko, who was saved by O’Reilly. They double-teamed the big man and brought him into the ring and began to work on his leg. The referee was able to separate the two teams but the damage had been done as Stickball was brought backstage for medical attention. The Pissbeaters then focused in on Primo who was still spoiling for a fight. O’Reilly stretched Italy’s favorite son in a sharpshooter (while yelling “Bret Hart is a homosexual!” as well). The Pissbeaters then gave Primo their signature double piledriver. They thought they had the win and the belts in hand, until Crazzy Steve returned.
Steve tried to substitute himself into Stickball’s place, but the referee would have none of it, saying how he was not legally signed to participate in the match. Steve returned backstage screaming and yelling. This gave Primo a slight reprieve, as he fought back and slammed Darko. He then tossed O’Reilly off the top turnbuckle right on to Darko. Primo then climbed the ropes himself, but was cut off by Darko who hit a springboard bulldog. Crazzy Steve returned again, but this time with a bandaged up Stickball in tow.
Primo finally tagged in the power man, who delivered a stiff Carbonie slam on Darko. O’Reilly again climbed up the ropes, but Stickball picked up Darko on his shoulders and ran him into O’Reilly, causing him to land on top of Darko, on top of Stickball’s shoulders (see photo- AWESOME)
Carbonie then delivered a double TKO to both men. Carbonie climbed the ropes to hit a moonsault, but Darko recovered and gave Carbonie a super-German suplex from the top rope. (OH MY GAWWDDD).
Darko knocked Primo off the apron while O’Reilly put a STF submission on Carbonie, who after a few agonizing minutes, passed out from the pain and injury to his leg. The Pissbeaters are the new NSP tag-team champions.

Match 8 – Main Event – Derek Wylde (c) vs. Cody Deaner vs. Tiberious King vs. Pepper Parks – Four Corners elimination match for the NSP Independent Championship.
The match began with King and Deaner in the ring. King asks Cody to tag in Wylde, who admits “I’m not afraid of him!” and tags himself in. Wylde and King circle and just as they are about to lock up, Wylde tags in Pepper Parks. Somewhat reluctantly Parks and King wrestle each other, but come to a stalemate.
They both then tag in Wylde and Deaner respectively, who also wrestle each other with some hesitation. All four men exchange holds but the action quickly breaks down when Cherry Bomb gets involved in the match. She chokes Parks on the middle rope, and climbs into the ring to help Deaner and Wylde eliminate Parks. She is knocked over and Deaner lands on top of her, and then Wylde lands on top of Deaner (3 way of doom – see photo).
King repeatedly kicks Wylde into Deaner’s ass, which causes Deaner to hump Cherry as she screams in horror “STOP HUMPING ME!” Deaner screams out how sorry he is, which causes Wylde to ask Deaner what the hell he was doing with Wylde’s woman. Cherry doesn’t help by screaming “He was humping me!” and then slaps both men. She exits the ring as the match continues, and ends up with King powerbombing Wylde off the top rope. King then brings Wylde to the top rope again for a superplex, when Parks joins in to help. Deaner runs under both men and powerbombs them as Wylde holds onto the top rope for dear life so he is not thrown off. (Mini tower of doom? See photo).
Deaner pins Parks, but Parks gets his foot onto the bottom rope. Deaner looks at the foot, and notices timekeeper Leah Von Dutch at ringside. He thinks she placed Parks’ foot on the rope and chases her around ringside. She runs into the ring with Deaner hot on her feet as Parks catches Deaner, knocking him down. Parks checks on Von Dutch making sure he is OK. He turns his attention back to Deaner, only for Von Dutch to low-blow him in the groin!
Deaner hits his Sliced Bread No.2 on Parks and pins him, eliminating him from the match. Deaner celebrates with Von Dutch, having outsmarted everyone. Deaner and Wylde turn their attention to King and attempt a double suplex from the ring apron to inside the ring, only for Wylde to quickly let go and roll Deaner up with a schoolboy pin. Deaner is furious as Wylde mimes a “outsmarted you” motion. King recovers and attempts to hit his signature moves, but Wylde evades. Wylde grabs the title belt and nails King with it, and then hits a Death Valley Driver on the belt to eliminate King, winning the match and remaining NSP champion.

Neo Spirit Pro Wrestling - WYLDE CARD PREVIEW!

Neo Spirit Pro returns with WYLDE CARD on Thursday August 18 at 6:30 pm at Fight Club Canada - 4536 Portage Rd Unit 2 in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Photos by Sam Cino
Poster designed by Stella Froese

Matches include:
Ring of Honor star “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin vs Andrew Davis (with Jay Moore) in a chairs match.
This fight has been brewing since NSP returned to life in February. At “Art of War” back in  June, this match was supposed to occur, but Michael Elgin was unable to attend the event. This resulted in Andrew Davis supposedly getting a count-out win over Elgin, but was stopped by “The Ronin” Josh Alexander, who took on Davis on Elgin’s behalf. At Wylde Card, Elgin and Davis finally look to settle the score using the weapon that started it all – the steel chair.

Ladies Action - Cherry Bomb vs Courtney Rush
Cherry Bomb is itching to beat up her arch nemesis Courtney Rush and is hungry for a fight. What will happen when these two enemies fight in one-on-one competition? Will Cherry come out victorious, or will Rush pull out a victory?

“The Ronin” Josh Alexander vs “The Hit” Ashley Sixx
Alexander made an impression on NSP management at “Art of War” and returns to the NSP Arena to face Ashley Sixx. Sixx was supposed to appear at “Art of War” in June but the only details released on his cancellation were best wishes for a “speedy recovery.” Is Sixx at 100 percent to face The Ronin? Or will Alexander suplex his way to victory?

“The Bearded Dragon” Scotty Turner vs “Surf’s Up” Johnny Wave – NSP Light Heavyweight round-robin tournament.
With a win over Crazzy Steve at “Art of War”, Turner is surely looking to extend his win streak and move his way up in the tournament, but Wave also has a victory in the tournament over Brent B. There can be only one winner. Will the surfer be able to extinguish the dragon’s flame and be one match closer to becoming NSP Light Heavyweight champion?

Crazzy Steve vs “Your Savior” Sebastian Suave.
Steve looks to gain some vengeance and release some anger on the pompous one. Will Suave be able to stop the onslaught of the insane (and remain bite-mark free?)

Brent B vs Nick Vickers – NSP Light Heavyweight Tournament
Both of these men are looking to score a victory after both suffered losses at “Art of War.” One will stand and one shall fall when the high flyer locks up with the charismatic superstar!

The Italianos defend the NSP tag-team titles against The Pissbeaters
Primo and Stickball were able to defeat O’Reilly and Darko at “Art of War” but suffered a brutal beatdown after the match which involved Primo taking a piledriver on top of the NSP tag titles. The Pissbeaters aim to beat “The midget and the stupid Italian Gorilla” when it counts and bring home the gold.

“Dangerboy” Derek Wylde defends the NSP Independent Championship against “The Lord of the Bling” Tiberious King, Cody Deaner and Pepper Parks.
At “Art of War” in June fans thought they were in for a great match when it was announced late in the show by Wylde himself that he would defend the NSP title against his friend Cody Deaner later in the night, and that Deaner “doesn’t lay down for anybody.” The fans were fooled when just seconds later Deaner suffered a “finger poke of doom” and allowed Wylde to pin him for the easy win. Wylde thought he had the upper hand – until Tiberious King entered the NSP Arena and stated that Wylde would indeed defend the belt against the returning Pepper Parks!
The two brought the war to “Art of War” as the match involved heavy ground and air attacks alike, but Wylde was able to escape with the title after some assistance from Cody Deaner.
It will be every man for himself at Wylde Card, will Dangerboy be able to remain champion at the show bearing his name, or will one of the other competitors hold the highest card?

REVIEW - NEO SPIRIT PRO WRESTLING - ART OF WAR

The Art of War is a careful balancing act of battles and fights, and Neo Spirit's 3rd show was no different.

Neo Spirit Pro Wrestling returned to Fight Club Canada on June 25th 2011 for ART OF WAR. A month prior to the show, several previews were released on YouTube, showcasing ring announcer Topher Whiteman's kidnapping at the hands of some "russian soldiers". These previews set the mood for the show, putting focus on the main event which would involve Dangerboy Derek Wylde and an unknown opponent. You can view these excellent previews here:

http://youtu.be/cd37GUvnXSc
http://youtu.be/Ef4BDIYZP5s
http://youtu.be/3HlOzpX3qZw
http://youtu.be/cWnfhCWdxGg

The show began promptly at the advertised start time: 7:30 pm - when Topher Whiteman (fresh from escaping the Russians) entered the ring and stated that the opening contest of Art of War is the first match in the round-robin tournament for the NSP Light Heavyweight Championship.

Match 1: "Surfs Up" Johnny Wave vs "The All-Starter" Brent B. (NSP Light Heavyweight Tournament)
Both of these young men are newcomers to Neo Spirit Pro, and both knew they had to make an impact in their debut to make a lasting impression both on the fans and on NSP Management. This match saw a variety of high-flying moves from both Brent and Wave, and remained evenly-matched as the bout went on. Wave was able to reverse a top rope suplex from Brent, setting him up to nail his ultra-impressive Phoenix Splash and advance in the Tournament.

Match 2: Andrew Davis vs "The Ronin" Josh Alexander
Originally scheduled as Davis vs Michael Elgin in a chairs match, Elgin was unable to attend the event. Davis and his manager Jay Moore knew this, and had the match start anyway hoping to have a "win" over the absent Elgin by count-out. Josh Alexander entered the NSP Arena and challenged Davis to a match, and also said he was going to shut up Jay Moore for awhile. The two began by exchanging shoulder tackles, trying to overpower each other. Davis knocked Alexander down, and began celebrating. Davis didn't notice Alexander leap up to his feet until the last second, and was only able to shout out "oh my god" before being chopped hard across the chest. Alexander then invited Davis to try to leap to his feet, but Davis just couldn't manage the task. Alexander gave him a hand up and Davis began to celebrate again.....before getting chopped hard once again.
The two then exchanged a variety of suplexes and throws (including a vicious German suplex by Alexander and a pump-handle variation by Davis which had Alexander land on his head. A definite "Oohhhhh-ughhhh" moment for the crowd). The match was evenly paced, until Jay Moore tossed a steel chair into the ring and distracted the referee long enough for Davis to crack The Ronin across the skull and steal the victory.

Match 3: Cherry Bomb vs Courtney Rush vs Krystal Banks
Originally advertised as Cherry vs Rush, Neo Spirit's "original diva" Krystal Banks returned to restore some class to the Women's division, as the "skanks" were destroying it with their personal drama.
Cherry and Rush ignored Banks at the beginning, their hate for each other overpowering their common sense, but once Banks interjected herself she became fair game.
The beginning of the match consisted of A LOT of hair pulling but evolved into a great showcase of the top women in Ontario putting on a great show. Cherry had incapacitated Banks, but was thrown out of the ring by Rush. Rush scored the pin to win on Banks shortly after.

Personal drama unfolds!

Match 4: "Your Savior" Sebastian Suave vs Nick Vickers (NSP Light Heavyweight Tournament)
A rematch from NSP's last show REDEMPTION, Suave was looking not only to avenge his loss to Vickers, but to advance in the Light Heavyweight Tournament as well. Suave had Vickers well scouted, evading his bicycle kick ("Ive seen that before!") and countering his trademark running top-rope armdrag with a big knee. Vickers even attempted to skin-the-cat after being tossed over the top rope, but Suave saw him coming and kicked him off the ropes. Towards the end of the match, both men tumbled into the referee. Suave then produced a chain from his tights and knocked Vickers out cold before shaking the referee to his senses and getting the winning pin.

Nick Vickers (so bright it hurts!)

Match 5: Cody Deaner vs Tiberious King
Cody Deaner entered the NSP Arena to a chorus of boos, but Deaner isnt a man to suffer the ignorant fans. He stared down the ring girl, her having been involved in his matters at REDEMPTION, he stared down the fans, mocking the Niagara Falls audience. Tiberious King then made his entrance to loud cheers and fanfare. King took the microphone from announcer Topher Whiteman, which enraged Deaner to the point of taking Whiteman's chair and throwing it into the crowd. He then ordered Whiteman to sit on the floor and not move for the rest of the show. (A helpful fan returned Whiteman's chair when Deaner wasn't looking).
King stated he might not be a megastar like Deaner, who has held such glorious championships like the TNA Women's championship (King cant qualify because he has two things Deaner doesn't - a set of nuts). Deaner took exception to this insult and attacked King with wild punches, and the match was on. Both men traded holds back and forth, Deaner going for his patented Sliced Bread No.2 numerous times during the match. He landed it on King only a few times, and much to Deaner's surprise, King was able to kick out just barely after a two-count. King battled back hitting his signature move, thinking it was all over, for Deaner to also kick out at two. Both men began to dig deep in their souls for the determination to win. Deaner sent King reeling, and went to his vest he left at ringside to retrieve a chain. He took a minute to yell at the bell girl Leah von Dutch, asking who moved his water and vest. He placed it on the apron and ordered her to hold both items down until the match was over. King had gotten to his feet and charged at Deaner, who ducked and launched King over the top rope. King was able to safely land on the apron, but landed on von Dutch's hands in the process. She screamed, distracting King from the match. The referee checked on her as King springboarded from the top rope onto Deaner. Deaner countered with a fistful of chain to King's mouth, and then tossed the chain under the ring. He grabbed the referee and gained the pin to win.

Match 6: Crazzy Steve vs "The Bearded Dragon" Scotty Turner (NSP Light Heavyweight Tournament)
Leading up to ART OF WAR, Crazzy Steve took to YouTube (after escaping the asylum) and issued the following statement:

Turner was anxious to gain a win over the crazy one, but Steve was prepared. Both men attempted to overpower the other, but they were evenly matched. Turner charged at Steve, who dodged Turner, and both men began to run the ropes in a cris-cross fashion....until Steve rolled out of the ring and sat in the crowd for a few seconds as Turner made himself look like a fool and enduring the laughs of the crowd. Turner ordered that Steve come back into the ring so they can actually wrestle. Steve then tickled Turner's beard, who became even more angry and shouted "THERE IS NO TICKLING IN WRESTLING!!".
Shortly after, The Pissbeaters ran down to the ring and distracted the referee allowing Turner to hit his finishing move and score the victory. The Pissbeaters began to assault Crazzy Steve which lead to The Italianos running out to make the save, and the next match was on....

Match 7: The Italianos (c) vs The Pissbeaters (NSP Tag-team Championship)
The Italianos began the match with Primo scoring a multitude of flying headscissors/hurracanranas on both Jake O'Reilly and Anthony Darko alike. Primo tagged in to Stickball, the power man of the two. O'Reilly told Darko to "use your high flying skills!" as Darko ran off the ropes and attempted a headscissors of his own, only for Stickball to catch him and deliver a spine-crushing backbreaker. Both teams made frequent tags, but eventually The Pissbeaters were able to score some double-team offense. Primo managed to escape one such situation, countering it into a DDT/Stunner combo-attack. He hooked up O'Reilly into a fisherman's suplex-pin, but Darko was able to make the save. The two then beat down on Primo and delivered a tandem back-suplex. When they turned around, Stickball moonsaulted off the top rope onto both men. The Pissbeaters were able to recover and were going to set up Stickball for their double team spike-piledriver, but Stickball was able to push O'Reilly off into Primo, who scored the match winner with a schoolboy roll up. The celebration was short lived as the Pissbeaters tossed Stickball out of the ring and hit their spike piledriver on top of the tag-titles on Primo.

Match 8: Dangerboy Derek Wylde defends the NSP Independent championship against...Cody Deaner!?
Derek Wylde strutted down to ringside, girlfriend Cherry Bomb in tow, and explained to the NSP faithful that he had been embarrassed at REDEMPTION by losing to a girl. He lost to Courtney Rush in a six-person elimination tag match, and was just embarrassed. He would defend the NSP title tonight, but only to the most deserving man, not woman, in Neo. And it just happened to be his best friend Cody Deaner.
Deaner came back through the curtain, with a quizzical look of "Really?" on his face. Coming down the entrance ramp all he could say was "wow." Wylde said how Deaner and him were best friends and that they would help each other out, so Wylde told Deaner to just lay down and let him win. Deaner replied that he doesn't lay down for anyone. Wylde was not happy in the least, saying how Deaner wasn't playing fair. The crowd was in for a great match indeed as two of Ontario's best were going to lock up. Both men looked to try for a test-of-strength, until Wylde poked Deaner in the chest and Deaner screamed out in immense pain. The "Finger-poke of doom" had returned to wrestling in prime form, as the crowd booed both men profusely, having been cheated out of a good match. The referee reluctantly counted to three as Wylde "retained" the NSP title. That is until Tiberious King came through the curtain...

Wylde thinks he tricked everyone....little does he know....

King began to explain how Wylde wasn't going to get off that easily and that he will defend the NSP title in a REAL match. He then stated how the team of Wylde and Deaner was just like a baseball team, "Wylde is the pitcher and Deaner is the catcher. Sorry Cherry Bomb but you have to wait outside, they don't let dogs in the park!".
King continued saying how he had just the perfect opponent for Dangerboy. A man who had been attacked before REDEMPTION and was unable to make it to the show, and that man is the returning Pepper Parks!

Match 8: Dangerboy Derek Wylde (c) vs Pepper Parks (NSP Independent Championship)
Pepper made quick his entrance and began his battle with Wylde as King chased Deaner back to the locker room. Both men exchanged chops, punches and kicks before the action spilled to the outside of the ring. Wylde grabbed the ring bell, but announcer Whiteman got in his way. Wylde then chased Whiteman around the ring but was ambushed by the awaiting Pepper Parks, much to the fans delight.
The men wrestled back inside the ring, before returning to the outside once again. Wylde hit his trademark Skydrill Press from the top rope to the floor, crushing Parks against the brand new guardrails. Wylde then grabbed Topher Whiteman and threw him headfirst into one of the guardrails, telling him to never get in his way again. He took Whiteman's chair (they really don't want him to sit down I guess) and propped Parks up in it, aiming to deliver his signature running dropkick. He stopped part way to climb up to the apron. He started his run again but Parks was able to recover and sweep out Wylde's legs, ending up with Wylde landing hard on the ring apron. The action continued at a furious pace with no man giving a slight showing of weakness. Parks once again found himself propped up in the chair, but this time Wylde was able to complete his running dropkick, sending Parks over the top of the chair and half-way back up the entrance ramp. Wylde slid into the ring and ordered the referee to begin the 10-count, hoping to gain a win by countout. The referee got to 9.999 before Parks just barely crossed under the bottom rope, cutting it close does not do it justice, you had to be there to see how close Parks was to losing. Wylde rolled up Parks and used the ropes for leverage, but announcer Whiteman slapped Wylde across the face causing him to lose his grip and allowing Parks to escape the pin.
Parks battle back and covered Wylde, but Cherry placed Wylde's foot on the bottom rope, breaking the pin at two. Parks grabbed Cherry, who tried to fight back. Parks trapped her arm and balled up his fist as the crowd started to chant "hit that chick! hit that chick!". Cherry closed her eyes and braced for the impact....only to have Parks plant a gigantic kiss on her lips. She began to gag and dry heave, as Wylde asked her "why are you kissing another man!?" Both Wylde and Parks charged at each other, Parks hit his target first with his signature spear, but Wylde had moved at the last second and Parks had accidentally speared Cherry. Parks was stunned and explained to the referee it was an accident. Cody Deaner rushed to ringside with Scotty Turner and Jay Moore as they helped the referee remove Cherry from the ring. While the referee was occupied, Deaner crept into the ring and hit his Sliced Bread No.2 on Parks, and then tossed the referee back in as Wylde covered Parks for the win.

Wylde celebrated his successful defense of the NSP Independent Championship, but his celebration was once again cut short by Tiberious King. King explained to Wylde how he doesnt like him, everyone knows that, he said how Deaner was the #1 contender and threw it away to help his friend stay on top, and how Pepper is more deserving of another shot than anyone in the locker room. So at the next show the main event will be Wylde vs Deaner vs Parks vs King in a four corners match for the NSP Independent championship!
